AVTEN - During the Eid 2019 Transport, there is an increase in the number of train passengers cumulatively by 10% from D-10 to D+4. Based on PT KAI's observations on Tuesday (11/6/2019) morning, there were 4,821,876 passengers in 2019, while last year there were 4,384,101 passengers.

VP of KAI Public Relations, Edy Kuswoyo said, the company had anticipated this increase by preparing 406 train trips. The number consists of 356 regular trains and 50 extra trains.

Edy appealed to the passengers to pay attention to the schedule printed on the ticket so as not to miss the train. Passengers are also advised not to carry excessive items that can disturb the comfort of other passengers, both while at the station and on the train.

"In order to ensure the smooth running of the passengers while at the station, KAI has anticipated it by adding station command post officer both from Internal KAI, volunteers, TNI/ Polri personnel, Scouts, communities, and others," added Edy.

Edy hopes that passengers can return to their hometown safely and comfortably while on a train trip.
