Russian Helicopters Re-exhibit Ansat and Mi-171A2 in Malaysia
AVTEN - For the second time Russian Helicopters introduced their two newest helicopters in Malaysia. After successfully drawing attention during Southeast Asian tour demo at the end of 2018, this time the Mi-171A2 and Ansat civil platform helicopters performed at the 2019 Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) Exhibition, March 26-30.
Beside the two helicopters, Russian Helicopter also exhibited the Mi-38, a new utility helicopter that has the capacity and capability between Mi-8 medium helicopter and Mi-26 heavy helicopter. Several other products also filled the corporate storefront at the event.
“Following the results of the Heli Tour, we negotiate projects for the supply of Mi-17 type (including Mi-171A2 and Mi-17-1VA ‘Flying Hospital’), Mi-38, Ansat, Ka-226T and Ka-32A11BC helicopters to Southeast Asia countries. In accordance with the requests for helicopters delivery received during the Heli Tour, we negotiate configurations along with financing structure of the helicopters delivery," said Igor Chechikov, Deputy Director General for aftersales service and head of delegation of Russian Helicopters Holding Company, Monday (3/25/2019).
He said, at LIMA ’19 the Holding Company plan to hold meetings with their partners from Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. “We also actively work with our Vietnamese customers for coordinating terms of civil helicopters supply,” he added.
He said, besides that, during the exhibition in Malaysia negotiations on aftersales support of helicopters operated by foreign customers will take place.
“Innovative projects on aftersales support that the Holding Company offers to its foreign customers will allow for transitioning to long-term agreements on no-bid basis and organise all works under life-cycle contracts,” close him.
