Airbus completes delivery of the 1,000th Super Puma helicopter
avten.asia - Airbus Helicopters completed the delivery of the 1,000th multi-role H215 Super Puma helicopter last Friday (6/9/2019).
The twin-engine helicopter was assembled in Marignane, France and handed over to the German Federal Police (Bundespolizei) to support the German Havarie Command, which manages maritime emergencies off of Germany’s coast.
In its official statement, Airbus Helicopters said that the shipment at a time completes the delivery of four H125 Super Puma (civilian) units ordered by the German Federal Police.
The first three units of the helicopter were sent on December 2018. The completion of this shipment strengthened the 19 units of the fleet AS223 L1 Super Puma (military version) that had been owned.
With a total of 23 units owned makes the German Federal Police one of the largest operators of the Super Puma family helicopter in the world today.
Based on company data, there are currently nearly 100 customers in 59 countries in almost worldwide that operating the Super Puma family helicopters, both H215 and H225 for the civil market and H215M and H225M for the military market.
