AirAsia Indonesia Offers Joint Operations with Garuda Indonesia Group

AVTEN - AirAsia Indonesia is offering opportunities for cooperation with the Garuda Indonesia Group. Opportunities for such cooperation, taking into account the advantages of each airline.

As explained by the Director of AirAsia Indonesia, Dendy Kurniawan, on Friday (12/21/2018), AirAsia Indonesia is part of the AirAsia Group, the airline group that contributes the largest number of international passengers in Indonesia.

"While Garuda Indonesia Group is one of the leading for the domestic market segment," he said.

However, he stressed, the ongoing discussions with Garuda Indonesia were still in the initial stages and no decision had been taken regarding this matter.

"However, we are opening up with various forms of cooperation that can support the development of this industry," he said.

Previously, President Director of Garuda Indonesia, I Gusti Ngurah Askhara said that AirAsia Indonesia had the desire to conduct joint operations (KSO) with Garuda Indonesia Group.

But he explained, his side was still considering further the AirAsia offerings.

"Yes, they asked KSO with us, but we haven't talked about the details," he said, Friday afternoon.

Askhara said that the plan was just a conversation. "Not previewing at all. We just talked about it," he said.
