avten.asia - The Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff, who is also the Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Aero Sports Indonesia Federation (PB FASI), Air Chief Marshal TNI Yuyu Sutisna wants aero sports to be enjoyed by all levels of society. Yuyu hopes that all aero sports under FASI guidance are not exclusive.

"FASI needs to make careful planning as well as concrete efforts to carry out socialization and tournaments in stages, continuously, and sustainable, so that all levels of society can be involved," Yuyu stressed, during opening the 11th FASI National Conference at Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta, Friday (6/21/2019).

In FASI's note, the participation of several aero sports in the 19th PON event in Bandung (2016) and the 18th Asian Games (2018) in Jakarta and Palembang, proved FASI was able to compete positively and sportively with other sports under the auspices of the Indonesia National Sports Committee (KONI).

In the 18th Asian Games, for example, FASI paragliding athletes won 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze. Paragliding is also included in the top five of seven sports contributing medals to the Indonesian contingent.
